First we will visit the town of Pisac famous for its crafts, where we will also visit its archaeological center. Then we will visit Ollantaytambo and end in the town of Chinchero which is known for its textiles.
We will make a 30-minute trip until we reach Pisac located east of the city of Cusco. In Pisac we will visit the ruins located in the upper part of the city, as well as the artisan market located around the Plaza de Armas. In Pisac we will be able to appreciate how the inhabitants use Inca agricultural techniques to solve the problem of sowing on the slopes of the hills and thus achieve the best productivity. Visitors will be impressed by the urban distribution of a construction made with large stone blocks polished in symmetry, we will also visit the current colorful artisan market where we can find a variety of handicrafts for sale. At noon we will have a buffet lunch in a tourist restaurant in the town of Urubamba.
After lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo: located 76 km from the city of Cusco, built in an area of approximately 600 hectares, it is established in the middle of three valleys that gives way to the edge of the jungle where Machupicchu is located following the course of the river, has strategic control places established in the rugged geographical relief, turning the archaeological site into a fortress. It contains archaeological evidence showing astronomical, administrative, urban, livestock and agricultural purposes. In addition, the city of Ollantaytambo is considered a city suspended in time due to the Inca colonial urban adaptation with great use of hydraulic engineering, distributing water through channels that cross its streets, maintaining its original landscape.
Returning to the city of Cusco we will visit Chinchero: located northwest of the city of Cusco, currently it is a tourist attraction because it keeps alive the ancestral traditions in agriculture, maintaining the greatest variety of Andean potato production and the management of weaving with Inca iconography and symbology which is exposed by local women in the traditional way, being an important point for travelers to visit.
